is a wholly owned Division of Ultra-Systems Technology
Pty Ltd (UST) and provides physical services
to the coal, minerals and power industries. These services

USS provides coal analytical
services including some basic laboratory analyses; sample
preparation, sizing, moisture, ash, CSN and float/sink
analysis. USS also provides sample preparartion
for XRD and XRF analyses including ashing with an oxygen
plasma low temperature asher (LTA 504).
Physical preparation of large coal samples
(up to about one tonne) can be provided and the following
equipment is available:
- Jaques Double Roll Crusher (12 x 6)
- nominal capacity 600 kg/hour.
- Jaques Jaw Crusher (12 x 7) - nominal
capacity 800 kg/hour.
- ICAL Hammer Mill - nominal capacity
50kg/hour.
- Alpine pneumatic classifier.
- 750-mm (30 inch) Sweco Screen Shaker
with comprehensive range of sieves.
